ELT has the agency and distribution rights for the Austrian Truck mounted ‘knuckle-boom’ crane brand PALFINGER, which is the worlds leading materials handling solutions provider. Having this flagship brand is core to the company’s success and this has been built upon to offer sales & service to all known truck mounted crane brands, both new and second hand remanufactured or refurbished units.
Additionally, the company supplies all types of Palfinger and other materials handling solutions, including Aerial Platforms, hook-loaders, skip loaders, container handling, scrap & waste handling, all-terrain & special forklifts for truck mounting, as well as solutions for the Ports & Marine industry, Rail Transportation, & Large Wind Turbine Generators.
Most recently in 2015 & 2016 the company entered a third phase of growth through completing in 2015 the move to Meisies Halt, off and highly visible to the N2 highway and into custom built workshop premises. Then in 2016 completed a full business review and entered into a 5-year plan for re-engineering all areas of the business in order to enhance its sustainability and create a platform for transformation and growth into new local industrial market business sectors and supply such as Mining & Quarrying, Civil Construction, Agriculture, Ports & Marine, etc.

Accredited for the maintenance and rebuilding of highly specialised ‘Live-Line’ equipment for ESKOM and its sub-contractors, ELT has unique capabilities and capacity to engage in highly complex work processes successfully.
In 2017 ELT invested in a custom designed mobile workshop that is unique across all OEM service industries and industry sectors. This 4t 4×4 Truck unit can offer local, off-highway, at-site and pre-arranged service ‘hubbing’ for single point multi-unit servicing opportunity to save the client on costs and downtime. Fully loaded and equipped with hose-making tools, welding equipment, on-board power sourcing, on-board 4.5mT lifting capacity with mounted crane, and consumable spare parts, this unit can offer service unavailable elsewhere.
As part of our human resources development focus ELT has recently achieved accreditation and certification by MerSETA as an engineering training centre for apprentice technicians and artisans, and this is very much part of the company’s plan for sustainability, i.e. to train staff for its own future as well as the larger engineering sector.
